Stutzenberger, Lucille Haeberlin
STUTZENBERGER, LUCILLE HAEBERLIN,
93, of Louisville, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Lucille was born in Louisville,
KY, on January 17, 1913, to the late Edward A. Haeberlin and Emma Schoeffel
Haeberlin. She was a graduate of Jordan Conservatory of Music and the University
of Louisville. In 1937, she married James William Stutzenberger, who preceded
her in death in 1980. Since her early childhood, she was an active member of
Lyndon Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher for over 25 years.
Lucille was an elementary music teacher in Jefferson County Public Schools for
47 years. After her retirement in 1979, she remained active in the Kentucky
Music Educators Association, the Alpha chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, the
MacDowell Music Club, and the Jefferson County and Kentucky Teacher
Associations. In 1988, she received the Citation of Service from the Kentucky
Music Educators Association. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was
predeceased by two sisters, Esther Hubbard and Florence Witt; and by two
brothers, Stanley Haeberlin and Herbery Haeberlin. She is survive by one son.
David R. Stutzenberger and his wife, Linda, of Knoxville, TN; one grandson,
Daniel P. Stutzenberger and his wife, Azadeh, of Franklin, TN; and one
great-grandson, Pasha N. Stutzenberger. In addition, she is survived by three
nieces and four nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday,
May 12, 2006, at Lyndon Baptist Church, 8025 New LaGrange Road, with burial in
Jeffersontown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11,
2006, at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, and from 10-11
a.m. on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to
Lyndon Baptist Church.
