LAPSLEY,
JAMES ALLEN 61, of Louisville, died suddenly on Friday, June 27, 2005. He was
retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers, having been the chief engineer in
charge of the mechanical and electrical branch, and a member of Trinity
Presbyterian Church and Polo Fields Golf Club. Survivors include his wife of 35
years, the former Sherill Collins; sons, James Allen Jr. (Abby) and Robert Brown
(Robin) Lapsley; grandchildren, Paul Stephen, Jacob Robert and Mallory Elizabeth
Lapsley; and a sister, Cile Brooks (Bill). His funeral service will be held at
11a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 10200 Shelbyville Rd., with
interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1-5 p.m.
Sunday and 4-7 p.m. Monday at Pearson Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 12900
Shelbyville Road. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts
